Ms. Alayna

Lil Alayna was born about 2 weeks ago. I met her mother while we were planning our weddings. I don't get to hold many tiny babies anymore, so the last couple of nights was nice.

baby rupp

This adorable little man is the nephew of one of my wedding couples. Thank you Karen for reffering them to me. He was born the day before Karen got married. It has been a busy summer for the Rupp family, 2 weddings and a baby. I am happy to have gotten a chance to work with all of you!

right after the storm

This beautiful view was right out of my back door a week ago or so when we got some crazy storms. I just thought I would share. I rarely take a picture that doesn't involve people.

still studio shopping

I went to Hobby Lobby today. Their furniture pieces are all 50% off, and I love a sale. I bought a little bench for under $30. I am going back tomorrow also, I felt a bit rushed because I had the kids with me. I am hoping to paint the walls tomorrow too. We will see, and of course I will keep you posted. I really need to get it done. It has been so long since I have taken the kids to get formal photos done.

And did you notice that I got the 4th wedding slideshow added to the website? I think instead of titling them wedding 1, 2, 3 etc. I will change the links to read the bride and groom's first names.

studio shopping

I went to The Flower Factory today to get some things for props for my mini studio that I am putting in my basement. I found a few things that I likes but only took home one item. It is a little wooden chair with a picket fence back. It is unfinished but i plan on white washing it. I have plenty of time to work on that over the next month, since my next wedding isn't until August 19th. Though I do have a baby photo shoot for a little girl who should be arrving today (best wishes Jennifer) and I also will be doing a few senior portraits too.

I am also working on the next slideshow for my website. I am hoping to get that added by the weekend.

creekside park, the bikini hot spot

I shot the wedding of Rebecca and William yesterday. The ceremony was at Creekside Park and the reception was at The Olde Gahanna Sanctuary. They couldn't of gotten better weather if they had ordered it. And since the weather was so nice the park was full of people in swim wear. Which made getting pictures abit interesting. I have shot engagement photos at the park before but that was in the fall, so I didn't have to work around wading spectators then. I met alot of wonderful people yesterday. Rebecca's cousin Patty was there with her little girl. Patty has a West Virginia accent and a wonderful laugh that reminds me of my cousin who I haven't seen in years. I love this picture. I guess little Haley felt Rebecca's dress needed fixed.

Nate's last game

He played really well, probly the best I had seen him play all year. This was his last t-ball game. The thing about t-ball is there are no outs, everyone bats every inning and they don't keep score.

Next year its coach pitch.

Karen & Chris

To say that Chris is a quiet person is an understatement. I did their engagement shoot too and i thik I may have heard him say 5 words total. Karen on the other hand has this up for anything attitude and treated us to her rendition of the "in the jungle" song at the reception . Their wedding was at The Chapel at The Ohio Historical Society and the reception was held at his parents house. (They had a huge tent put up)

oh and did i mention he is a firefighter.....now thats hot!

B.J. & Carla

This was the 2 nd wedding I shot. The wedding and Reception were both held at the Holiday Inn on Lane Avenue. I am still asking myself why we didn't go over the "the shoe" to shoot some pictures. We were after all right next door. The couple had been together for 6 years. The food was soooo good. The groom is a chef there and did the preperations for meals.
These little devils are their kids.

They met at Bob Evans

My first wedding couple is Paul & Michelle. You have never seen two people more in love in your life. You can see it in the way that they look at eachother. This is one of my favorite photos from that day.

The wedding was at Mifflin Presbyterian Church and the reception was at Jefferson Country Club.

First blog, I hope it gets better than this

Ahhh, my first blog, what to say, what to say.
I guess I will talk a little about me. I am 27 and a mother of 3 and I am married. I am trying to break into the wedding photography business. Which can be difficult in this market. I don't want to be your average wedding photographer. I want to be THEE wedding photographer. I have taken some classes. Started out doing engagement photos and built my client base from there. I have a website finelinesphotography.com. Be nice, I did say I was just starting out.

Inspiration- Funny that I have never met my favorite photographers. They live in California. I feel like I know them though because I follow their blogs. ( does that make me sound crazy?) Lets start with Jessica Claire http://jcsphoto.com. She is amazing! Then there is "the" becker http://thebecker.com. I really love his personality. He takes great photos. Love his blog.
